To help visitors locate essential services and other options in the Parkway’s gateway communities, the Foundation is working with the National Park Service to create a wayfinding signage plan to guide tourists as they exit the Blue Ridge Parkway. The draft plan proposes adding a secondary panel beneath existing exit signage at certain intersections along the Parkway, such as state highways. These panels would include universally recognized icons and distance information for certain services available at each exit, as shown in this draft design.
