The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is partnering with Clemson University’s Institute for Parks to bring a small group of faculty and interdisciplinary graduate students to the Parkway to conduct qualitative assessments of Blue Ridge Parkway viewsheds. Their analysis will help identify priority viewsheds for voluntary land and water conservation efforts. In the process, they will test and refine a viewshed analysis ranking system that other groups will use to survey the rest of the Parkway later in the year.
